Evonik Prepares for PET Recycling Demand With New Plant

Evonik is expanding its alkoxides capacity with a new plant in Singapore.
The mid double-digit million-euro investment will enhance supply security in light of growing demand for alkoxide catalysts, used in biodiesel, pharma and Ag. There’s also the promise of chemical recycling of PET plastics at some point in the future.
Present in Europe and the Americas, Asia was the “missing piece in a global supply network:” Alexander Weber, global head of alkoxides.
